Outdoor Cooking
Outdoor cooking is a core skill. Scouts cook at least 2 meals on every campout. We also have our annual Iron Chef competition where Scouts are provided a mystery meat that they must incorporate into their meal. Patrols compete for the coveted Silver Spoon award. We practice cooking with our large camp stoves, Dutch ovens, and backpacking stoves, so Scouts become proficient in cooking in all settings.
